ABBYY FineReader Engine provides five ActiveX-based Visual Components that allows creating a graphical user interface for viewing and pre-processing images and editing and verifying recognized text as well as monitoring the process. The visual components are designed according to ABBYY’s extensive experience in creating end-user applications.
The Image Viewer displays the full image of a document page and allows the user to view and edit an image. For example:
The ZoomViewer provides an easy way to view the image in detail, adjust the area position, or compare uncertainly recognized characters with the enlarged image.
The Document Viewer provides the overview of document images and their processing status. It also offers tools for saving a recognized document or opening it in the selected application. There are two viewing modes:
The Text Editor provides the options to highlight uncertain characters and basic text formating tools. Developers can control the text area display, available buttons and user actions.
The Text Validator is an easy-to-use wizard-like tool for checking recognized characters marked as “uncertain”. It includes an integrated spell check function and provides a “zoom” view of the validated text. Developers can control the behaviour of this recognition library component.
ABBYY FineReader Engine Visual Components provide several interface languages. You can also localize the Visual Components to any interface language.
