Updates and Downloads

An update for ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap 3.0 (Windows version) is available to download. This update2 is intended for the program with the following part number: #50210, #50211, #50218 and #50223.

Note: You can find out the part number of your copy of software by opening the main window of ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap 3.0 and clickling About button.

This update2 includes the following changes from Update1:

  1. Saving of symbols size in export results has been improved.
  2. Converting numbers into numerical value of Microsoft Excel has been improved.
  3. Bug fixes in Export module have been made.
  4. Some errors in the Help file have been corrected.

Additional changes included in this update2:

  1. Improving layout reproducibility of the Japanese recognition.
  2. Support Windows Vista 64bit OS.

Steps to install the update:

Please Note: Original CD with ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap 3.0 may be required during installation on Windows 2000.

  1. Download the PatchSS30.exe file (30.7MB) and save it on your computer where ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap 3.0 is installed. To download the update, please register first by filling the registration form.
  2. Close ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap 3.0.
  3. Run the update: PatchSS30.exe.

Once the installation of this update has been completed, your copy of ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap 3.0 will be ready to run. The part number of the program will be updated as 50224.
